Approach
Role Rotation and clear teaching
SBC began with a simple idea: Sheffield deserves a Bachata space that feels welcoming, thoughtful, and genuinely community-led. From the start, the aim has been to help people enjoy social dancing while building strong foundations, respectful habits, and confidence on the dance floor.
That includes making space for beginners, supporting solo attendees, and creating learning environments where people can keep growing over time. It also means bringing high-quality teachers from the UK and abroad to Sheffield so the local scene can keep developing.
Anyone can lead or follow, and classes are written in a way that avoids gendered expectations.
The goal is not only to teach well, but to help grow a healthy local Bachata community.
Everything we offer is shaped by inclusivity, growth, and respect.
We want adults with different levels of experience to feel able to join, learn, and enjoy the social floor without cliquey or exclusionary energy.
SBC cares about improving technique, confidence, musicality, and connection while helping the Sheffield Bachata scene grow in a sustainable way.
Respect shows up in clear etiquette, better communication, and social dancing that honours comfort, boundaries, and shared enjoyment.
Founder
With over 10 years of experience as a passionate social dancer and 4 years of teaching, Tudor brings both depth of knowledge and a warm, encouraging energy to every class.
Certified by the Role Rotation Academy in 2024, he is especially passionate about helping dancers explore Bachata and Role Rotation in a way that feels clear, practical, and enjoyable on the social floor.
His teaching focuses on structured content that builds knowledge over time, with direct and constructive feedback that helps students understand how dance works rather than simply copying routines. That can mean developing core technique, understanding how to apply movements more effectively to music, or learning how to create a better interaction with a partner.
Tudor’s teaching style is rooted in soft leading and responsive following: a conversation between two partners driven by body movement, listening, and clear intention.
His goal is to inspire people to discover the depth of Bachata, then keep exploring through other events, other teachers, and other communities, so they continue pushing themselves further as dancers.
We keep the focus on social Bachata dancing and community-building in Sheffield.
Structured teaching for dancers who want stronger foundations, better technique, and more confidence in social settings.
Opportunities to practise, meet other dancers, and enjoy Bachata as part of a welcoming local scene.
Focused learning with guest teachers and themed training that helps Sheffield dancers keep expanding their skills.
The best next step is to look at the current events, or get in touch if you are not sure what would suit you best.
